Thrifty Kitty Club

🐾 About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah, founder of the Thrifty Kitty Club. Inspired by two beloved community cats, Snuggles and Cuddles, I started this project to turn everyday items into lifelines for stray and feral cats across Jacksonville.

Across the United States, millions of community cats struggle to survive without consistent food, shelter, or medical care. Here in Jacksonville, I see them in nearly every neighborhood — waiting, wandering, and hoping for kindness. My own family has cared for nearly 20 cats, but the need is far greater than what one household can carry alone.

That’s why the Thrifty Kitty Club exists:

  • Every donated piece of clothing or home good is transformed into funding for food, water, shelter, and veterinary care.

  • Every charm purchased helps build a safety net for cats who deserve more than just a bowl of food — they deserve medical attention, spay/neuter services, and a chance at a safe, stable life.

Snuggles and Cuddles showed me how much love and resilience community cats carry. Snuggles was the first to greet me when I moved into my apartment complex, and Cuddles, once shy and skittish, grew into a gentle guardian who now guides other cats to safety. Their companionship inspired me to dream bigger: a sanctuary where cats can thrive without the dangers of parking lots or neglect.

The Thrifty Kitty Club is more than donations — it’s a movement of compassion. Together, we can create a citywide safety net where every cat has a chance to be cared for.

✨ On the front page, you’ll find two ways to help:

  • Buy a charm — a small keepsake that directly supports food, shelter, and medical care.

  • Donate clothing or home goods — turning what you no longer need into hope for cats who do.

Thank you for being part of this journey. With every act of kindness, we’re building a brighter future for Jacksonville’s community cats.

Donate Your Clothes!

Thrifty Kitty Club needs donated clothes because every shirt, dress, or pair of shoes can be resold or repurposed to fund food, shelter, and medical care for community cats.
