Every movement begins with a moment — and mine began with a small, determined cat named Snuggles.

She wasn’t just any stray. Snuggles was the first official member of my Cat Distribution System, a tiny ambassador of love who chose me long before I ever dreamed of starting Thrifty Kitty Club. Every evening, after long shifts and tired steps, she would sprint across the apartment complex just to greet me. Tail high, eyes bright, paws tapping against the pavement — she made coming home feel like being seen, welcomed, and cared for.

Snuggles was adorable in the way only a street‑smart sweetheart can be: independent yet affectionate, cautious yet trusting, soft‑hearted but fiercely resilient. She carried herself like she belonged to the whole world, yet somehow made me feel like I was her favorite part of it.

She is the reason this entire project exists.

Thrifty Kitty Club was born from the simple wish to give cats like Snuggles the safety, comfort, and love they deserve — the kind of world I always wanted to give her. Every donation picked up, every charm adopted, every act of kindness in this community traces back to that one little cat who ran to say hello.

Snuggles didn’t just inspire a mission.

She inspired a promise:

No cat should have to face the world alone.

And because of her, we’re building that world — one purr, one pickup, one act of care at a time.
